Christmas Catch Up...Part 5

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so much fun! Having the girls...especially now that Jillian is older, makes Christmas morning an amazing time! I have been super giddy for about a month now to set up all of Santa's gifts for the girls. I have the greatest memories of walking in Christmas morning where Santa had a big set up for me and my sisters, and now I get to experience that with my own girls. We always open all the family gifts on Christmas Eve night, and then Christmas morning is where we do Santa and Seth and I open up our gifts.

The girls really hit the jackpot! I guess Santa thought Jillian was better behaved this year than I did! He must grade kids on a curve when they are growing through the terrible twos or something!

We even all got our stockings stuffed!

Yep, Santa was here...all the cookies and milk are gone!

Jillian's stash of gifts...a pink scooter, an American Girl doll, snack/drink cup with her name on it, a pink piggy bank, dress up doll bath toys, and a bulletin board with her name on it.

Jules' stash of gifts...a personalized suitcase, snack/drink cup with her name on it, new sippy cups of her own, stickers for her sippy cups so that she doesn't have to drink out of cups that just say "Jillian Patterson" on them, a pink piggy bank, and a bulletin board of her own.

If you take a closer look at Jules' suitcase, you will see that it says Jillian. Thank goodness the girls can't spell yet! See....even though Santa ordered Jules her very own personalized suitcase on November 21st, the lady on Ebay SUCKS and never sent it or refunded his money! But, Santa isn't bitter. And Santa already found another one and it is on backorder.

Jillian LOVES her pink scooter! She will really be pumped when she sees that her and Cousin Emmy have the exact same one!

Jillian and her American Girl Doll. I keep trying to help her give the doll a name...but she insists the name is American Girl Doll.

Jillian's favorite stocking stuffer was her electronic Hello Kitty toothbrush! Jillian HATES having her teeth brushed and fights us with it all the time. But, now she wants to brush like 4 times a day!!!! Yippee...I hope she keeps this up!

Sweet Baby Jules trying out her thermos. Hers turned out SUPER cute!

So happy to have her own sippy cups even though she gags every time I put them in her mouth! Uh oh...I DO NOT want a Suri Cruise on my hands with a 2 year old and a bottle!!!!

Happy girl! I love her with a barrette in her hair!

Little girls and their gifts.

Tyson got a packed stocking too...lots of treats and bones!

Daddy got a new Ipod!!!!!! YEAH! He was super pumped since he lost his a few months ago.

Yesterday, I mentioned how Jillian got the doll house from Papaw and Mimi...but what I didn't mention is that Papaw forgot to assemble it! :) Kidding Dad! So, Seth opened up the box, and I swear you need a degree from MIT to put this thing together! The instructions were ridiculous and it came with like 530 screws or something! But, Seth got it done and the doll house is up and running in Jillian's room!

Seth and his assistant getting to work

All of the instructions and screws

The screw pack. I honestly though it would just snap together or something! Apparently not!

Here is the finished product! It is super cute and all, but the thing DID NOT come with dolls! What doll house comes with all the furniture but no dolls? Jillian has been making do with her American Girl Doll, beanie babies, and my little ponies until I can get to Target to get her some appropriately-sized dolls.

See how big it is...she has to stand on her tippy toes to get to the top!

By the way, I got a new camera!!!!! YEAH! I already had a really nice and HUGE Canon Rebel, but I always had to lug that huge thing around with me. So, Seth got me a teeny tiny little Canon that I can just keep in my purse and I am so pumped about it!!!!!!

After our morning of gifts, building, and cooking, we got ready to head to Mimi and Papaw's for the day.

The girls in their cute Christmas dresses

Laughing at Mommy!

The family shot...I know I always say it, but one of these days I am going to get a good picture of the four of us. It hasn't happened yet, but it will!

The whole family at the table....minus Ansley and Emerson, who were sleeping! I think Summer drugged her kids or something so that she could actually enjoy a meal! I wish she would have drugged mine too! :)

My DAD made this fabulous coconut cake! He did such a great job at it!!!!!!
See, Jillian is shoving it in her mouth!
Here are the men, children, and Aunt K relaxing in the Media room, while all of the women cleaned up the dishes! Aunt K is 24...I wonder how much longer she is going to get away with this????

After our dinner, we all sat around and talked, we watched some 80's Christmas videos, and we played the 12 Days of Christmas...which is our favorite tradition! We had a really fun Christmas this year and know they will just keep getting more and more fun as the girls get older! So...there you have it. I am officially done talking about Christmas!!!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!!

I have loved all the updates. I'm going to have to go back through all of them again! I can't seem to catch up from Christmas! The girls look adorable on christmas morning. I feel sorry for Seth on the dollhouse! We actually got the same one. My parents gave it to Emery, but my dad and brother actually put it together for her! Looks like Jim really missed out on a lot of fun! Happy 2009!
