Christmas Day

Christmas morning did not disappoint in our house.  I was thinking the girls would get up super early...but that was not the case.  I was so excited, that I was awake at 5:00 am and the girls didn't get up till after 7:30!!!  I almost set off our house alarm just to get the activities rolling around there.  This year, Santa decided to bring one big gift for the girls and just a couple small things and a stocking for each.  The rest of their haul came from Seth and I.  I loved this process so much more because everything was wrapped and I got to see their faces when they got each present.  It just really might be my most favorite part of being a mom!
After the girls got their gifts from Santa, and after they opened their gifts from us, we made it over to Mimi's for a nice big and yummy Christmas lunch.  We had a great time over there and then spent the evening sitting at home watching the girls play with all of their new toys!  I think I sat on the couch for like 4 hours watching them.  I literally couldn't move...and Seth just kept bringing me tea or coffee.  It was a wonderful Christmas day and I hope the girls also have the best memories of our Christmas this year!

Jillian has been begging for this "Ariel Magic Talking Station" for a month.  I had NO IDEA what it was since her Christmas gifts had all been purchased before Thanksgiving.  Since she was so persistent with asking Santa for this gift, and talking about it at school...Seth and I decided that Santa COULD NOT disappoint!  In fact, Santa didn't order this gift until the Sunday before Christmas!   Luckily he found one and all of her dreams came true.  If you  look closely, it is actually a hair salon....adorable!

Here are the girls walking in and finding the beloved Ariel Magic Talking Station!

Jules is checking to make sure Santa ate all of the cookies!

My girly-girl immediately curling her hair and LOVING her new gift!

Jules getting her turn to do her hair

I think Santa really came through!  These girls were thrilled with their new hair salon!!!  Aunt K would be so proud!

STOCKINGS!!!!  Jillian has a friend with glasses...and a cousin with some fake glasses!  So she added glasses to her list as well.  I am glad that Santa found these pink ones at Claire's!  Jillian has not taken them off since!

Here is Jules looking SUPER old here going through her stocking!

I LOVE sleepy eyes on Christmas morning!

Jillian's gifts!

Jules' gifts!

I made Jillian this new lamp for her new room.

Jules FINALLY got a new lovie!  Poor girl lost hers about 2 months ago at the mall.  She has talked about it ever since and even has said that is all she wanted for Christmas.  I know you are probably thinking that a 2 1/2 year old does NOT need a lovie for Christmas.  But, I couldn't help it.  The one she lost was the one we had in the hospital for her and Jules and I were both nostalgic for that lovie.  So, now we are complete again with her new "Polka-Dot."

Jillian's big gift this year....An American Girl doll!!!!

Jules' big gift...a pink microphone!!!

I made the girls a new bow holder for Christmas.  The baby even got one too!

They each got a new puppy in a carrying case!

Seth got me a nice new grill pan for my kitchen!  I can't wait to start grilling after the baby comes and I take up cooking again!
BTW...I know I look horrible...but I have decided to get over that.  The girls need to know that I was there on Christmas morning...no matter how NOT pretty I am looking!

Seth looking cute (and blurry) in her new PJ bottoms and with some new cologne.

Over at Mimi and Papaw's house...Jules passed out on Jo!

My mom is so beautiful.  She looks like a model here!

Papaw and the girls

Seth and I both have gotten new Ipods in the last year, so we gave our old ones to the girls.  Seth just recently uploaded all of their kid music to their Ipods...and it has been wonderful!  We got them some kid-proof headphones for Christmas to go with them...and here they are looking so funny!  Jules can't keep her's on too well, so we rigged it with a baby headband.  I DO NOT know why we didn't do this earlier.  They were SO QUIET all afternoon listening to their own music!  I can hardly wait for our next roadtrip.  Okay, that is an exaggeration!

Don't you want to just eat her up!  She is so cute!

Jillian is wearing:
headphones from Mommy and Daddy
glasses from Santa
new poodle shirt from Mimi and Papaw
Tinkerbell dressup from Kourtney

She wore this outfit for 3 days.

Jules...my little music-lover...just sitting back and listening to some tunes!

That is finally the last of our Christmas story for this year!
We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too!
I am guessing that my next post will be in 2011...which in my mind means my baby is almost here!
55 more days away...but who's counting????

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Ansley and Macy decided to follow in Summer's and My footsteps and put on a Christmas play.  My girls were a last minute addition to the Christmas Play.  Jillian...in her true form...couldn't handle the change of plans and didn't perform well.  Here is Ansley taking after her mother and writing, directing, and narrating the play. Macy...taking after me...only got ONE line in the whole thing!

Jules and Emerson following their directions.

Here is Jillian NOT taking the news well of her part in the play.  SIGH

Ansley was SOOOOO sweet and bought all the girls a gift with her own money...even the new baby!  Here is Jillian saying thank you to her big cousin!
