The Birthday Bash 2010
Jillian decided she wanted another swimming party this year. Thank goodness her birthday is in June because she LOVES to swim...and swimming parties are about the easiest ones to throw! This year, we moved on Friday and had Jillian's party the next day on Saturday! Yikes!!! But I really stressed so little over her party and it turned out great! I just ordered some pizzas and a cake, bought some noodles as party favors, and we were all set! Jillian invited all the boys and girls from her class at school and also some neighborhood friends. I think the party was a lot of fun and most importantly, I think Jillian had a blast!!!

Jillian's Birthday
Jillian's 4th birthday just happened to fall right in the middle of moving week for our family. Seth was actually working all week, but I had been moving things from the old house to the new house with the girls in tow all week long. Birthdays are SOOOOOOOOOOO important to me though, and I really wanted to make Jillian's day great. So, we took a break from moving, and let Jillian decide what she wanted to do all day. Here are some pictures from our day.
Mommy and Daddy: Hello Kitty Bike
Jules: Hello Kitty helmet and knee pads
Tyson: Hello Kitty panties
I totally forgot my camera for the rest of the day...shame on me! But, I asked Jillian over and over what she wanted for dinner. I told her we could go anywhere. But over and over, her response was the same. She wanted to get Subway and go to the pool. So, that is exactly what we did! I hope Jillian had a fabulous birthday. I know I really enjoyed helping her celebrate turning the big 4!!!!

Toy Story 3
Jillian could and would watch TV and movies all day if I let her. Don't worry...I don't. Jules on the other hand, has some major ADD when it comes to sitting there and watching anything. She always wants something specific on (Dora, Mickey, Backyardigans), but 10 seconds after it is on, she is gone doing something else. The only time she ever watches anything is in the car...and her number 1 choice is ALWAYS...WOODY!!! The child loves Toy Story. She loves Woody. In fact at random times in public she will shout out, "Mom, I love Woody!" This is always an embarrassing moment for Seth and I! Ha Ha!
Well, I have personally been looking forward to Toy Story 3 coming out for a while now. I decided that this would be Jules' first movie in the theatre. I thought for sure she would sit there if Woody was on (and I was stuffing her full of candy and popcorn!). So, as a family of 4, we headed out to our first movie together. Jillian did great, although scared of the creepy clown and big baby on occasion. Jules, well, she has Movie ADD! She moved around the entire time. I broke out in a nice sweat while wrestling her for the 2 hours, but somehow I never had to take her out. I am sure she has a few cavities to show for it after eating about 278 skittles, but hey...we made it through! I can't wait to actually see the movie again when it comes out on DVD and really enjoy it!

Allison Family Reunion
In early June, my dad's side of the family had a family reunion. Well, it wasn't the best time for us to go with us moving and all ( I know...enough already with the moving sob stories!), but I really wanted someone there to represent my dad and my grandfather! So, Seth stayed behind to take care of our house, and the girls and I tagged along with my parents. My kids SUCK in the car (and I know this) and I don't know why I always give them the benefit of the doubt...but i mistakenly did. Sorry mom and dad! I have now learned to just always take my own car so that no one else is in misery! :)
Anyway, the girls actually did amazing while we were there. The family met in this mansion in Tulsa, OK and there was tons of food and family. There just wasn't a lot of kid stuff to do. But my girls really did great entertaining themselves, and I was proud of that. I am pretty sure they were the hit of the party too, because they were the only kiddos besides a couple little boys that were there every once in a while.
The most important thing is that I really wanted to see my grandparents. I don't get to see them much and I know it warms their hearts to get to spend time with us. So, that was my motivation to go and I know it was well worth it. The funniest thing though is that Jillian thought this huge mansion was Great-Memaw's house. In fact she keeps telling stories from the weekend and referring to when we went to Great-Memaw's house! Ha Ha Ha! I hope she isn't disappointed when we actually visit my grandparent's in their modest little house in Louisiana this Summer! :)

Jillian's Recital
A month or so ago (maybe 2) I posted the adorable pictures of Jillian and her dancing friends doing their dress rehearsal of their little bunny dance in their tap outfits! You can review that post here. Well, thank the Lord that I got video and pictures that day...you know, the day where Jillian did AWESOME! Because come recital day (and $17 per recital ticket later) Jillian had one little shoe mishap, and it threw her attitude off for the WHOLE day.
I was getting a bad feeling early on when she complained that her shoe was bothering her. Well, when we went back stage to get all the girls ready, Jillian lost her composure...and it was over. I just left her behind screaming and hoped for the best. When the little bunnies had their curtain call, you can bet that everyone danced except Jillian. She didn't even bust out crying...because that could have been funny and cute. Instead, she stood there with this horrid look on her face!
I was really not happy with my little bunny by this point. I mean, I had suffered through dance class all year long with her little sister running wild. Not only that, the bossy (and power hungry) front desk girl at the dance studio continued to get onto me and Jules all year as if I wasn't trying to control my 2 year old the best that a 2 year old can be controlled!!! Also, the tickets were ridiculously expensive for a 3 year old's dance recital, but we paid anyways and drove 35 minutes away for the show!
Oh well, it only took me a couple hours to get over it and forgive my precious bunny! But, I will tell you one thing...next year we are doing gymnastics!!!!

Update
Well...I have been blog absent lately and that is because we moved to a new house 2 weeks ago this Friday. We chose this move date to fall right in the midst of our anniversary, father's day, Jillian's 4th birthday, and Seth's 30th birthday! Needless to say, it has been a very busy month and i have a lot of blogging to catch up on. I am working on them now and will soon be posting about each event above...plus a few more important things thrown in. So...if you have been missing us, we will be back shortly!
Until then...here are a couple pictures of my girls eating...on the floor....sans clothes. We have had our old house for sale for the last 3 months and we BARELY lived there since we were constantly getting ready for showings. My poor girls had to eat cookies on the floor...among other things! Thank goodness that is over with!
