Jillian's Silly Hair
When my sisters and I were little girls, we always seemed to be sleeping in sponge rollers. I specifically remember every Saturday night getting baths and sponge rollers in order to look so cute and girly for church on Sunday. Well, I have been looking for a while and finally found some old school sponge rollers at Target yesterday, and I couldn't wait to try them out on Jillian. Jillian is very sensitive sometimes about things being new to her or out of the norm...so I had to play the rollers just right. I left them on the counter, and she was very interested. I told her that if she was a good girl all day long, then she would get to sleep in the rollers and make her hair curly. Well, she couldn't wait...so fortunately...she didn't just want the rollers in, she was excited about them!
Here are a few pictures of my girl all decked out in her new sponge rollers...I am sure I could dig out a few of myself that look very similar!

adorable! i too love sponge rollers:)
That picture text made me (and everyone around me, about 10 people I was bragging about her to) so very happy last night! She has great hair B.
It did so great! How did you get blessed with such beautiful hair on such a little girl? I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it. I'm still in a depression because my 18 month old has no hair, and thus no bows since she swore off headbands about a year ago. She's been off the headbands for almost a year and I'm going through withdrawal.
What a pretty girl!
We "the cross girls" were lucky enough to also sleep in the rollers...only to be sure that they didn't fall out, our mother had us put CLEAN panties on our heads, to secure them in position. This worked except for the two that happened to be located right over our ears...they always seemed to fall out...due to the leg holes. So we always had two straight pieces. Anyway, she is a doll the pictures are so cute!
Love me some sponge roller hair =)!! Her hair looks awesome!!! She looked so old on her way to school!!!
Reason #50 that I MUST one day have a girl!!! My sis and I wore sponge rollers every Sat night too! I remember them being horrible to sleep on...but I wouldn't dare take them out for fear that it wouldn't be curly enough!
How cute is that! I remember those curlers...I hated wearing them though! :)
Love it! I remember the sponge roller days-maybe one day Maggie will get enough hair to try those babies out!
