Jillian the Hoarder

For Jillian's birthday this year, she got a new shopping cart from one of her friends. SHE LOVES THIS THING!!!! Immediately when she wakes up she says "Want go shopping"...she puts on her pink high heels and grabs her shopping cart and plows her way all through the house. She does this all day long!!!!

Another favorite hobby of Jillian's is collecting little things from all over the house and hoarding them as her own. She has always loved picking out several things in a day and just holding them in her hands so that no one else can get them. Well, now she has the shopping cart to do the holding!!

Here is Jillian "shopping" in our house...

Miss Priss in her hot pink high heels and "shopping"

Notice how she even has her baby (who she calls Baby Jules...we are going to have to work on her creativity at a later point) in the front of the cart where she always rides in my shopping carts!

Here is the cart close up...see all of that CRAP!!!!

Items include but are not limited to...Nemo postcard from cousins, 3 pairs of Mickey Mouse panties (that haven't actually been worn yet...bummer), Three Little Pigs book stolen out of Baby Jules' stash, a mini etch-a-sketch, a crushed Red Bull can, and The Fridge DJ

I joked with my mom that I think I will let Jillian be a homeless person for Halloween and just let her push this cart all through the neighborhood. I think she would love that! Oh and sorry for not knowing a more politically correct term for homeless person...I couldn't think of one. But I am going to assume that there are no homeless people reading this blog.

Jules in the Exersaucer

Jules has just recently discovered a new toy! It is absolutely obnoxious looking...I mean, would it hurt to make baby toys in chocolate brown and cream???? Anyway, back to Jules...the reason for this post. She is really growing and totally hitting a new stage. This makes me very happy in a way because I remember with Jillian...as she grew, each stage got more and more fun (until 2!!!). So, I am happy to see Jules hitting some fun new milestones as well. She is loving toys and reaching for them. I think she even has her favorites. BUT, on the other hand, I get sad thinking that my baby is no longer a newborn as I keep referring to her as. She is an actual baby now and growing right before my eyes!!!!
Here are just a couple pictures of her playing in "The Eye Sore" as I like to refer to it as!

Here is Jules looking totally over-stimulated in the primary colored craziness!!!

Sweet Baby girl getting to know her new toy

Here she is showing off her double chin that I love so much!

The drooling monster!
And then OF COURSE, Big sister had to get in there and show Baby Jules how it was done!

Jillian pushing some buttons.

Yes, I let my kids play with prescription medicine. What, you don't?
Jillian actually has been getting in this fun toy and walking all through our house plowing over anything that is in the way...this includes Tyson!!! We call her the tank!

Random Picture

Here is a cute picture of my girls on the boat in Arkansas when we went up for the 4th. The boat broke down and we had to wait for Daddy to go back on the wave runner and rescue us!!! Here are the girls just chillin! Jillian was asleep and sweating SO bad under this towel. Baby Jules is just making it...barely!!! I thought this was a funny picture to share.

A Day Away

Seth and I were able to get almost a whole day to ourselves yesterday...it was so nice to hang out without carting around 2 girls all day! Seth's mom (CC) decided to fly into town and help out with the girls. So, she kept Jillian all day and my Mom (Mimi) offered to keep Baby Jules! It was such a nice day away! We had all these plans to run errands and look for new furniture...but abandoned all of those to do something fun!
SO...Drumroll please....Seth and I saw a MOVIE!!!! This is the 2nd movie we have seen in over 2 years and it was fabulous! We went to see The Dark Knight...and we even got popcorn and cokes to make it a true movie experience! The Dark Knight was great and was the perfect movie to see in a theatre if you are only averaging about 1 movie a year!
After the movie, we did go buy a new rug for our living room and grabbed a quick bite to eat too...but seeing a movie without worrying about your kids is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!
So, since I was in wife mode...and NOT mommy mode...I took NO pictures! But, I pulled up old ones so that no one got too bored.
Here is what Seth and I usually look like:
But yesterday, we looked more like this (only we aren't this young or skinny anymore):
And Here is CC and Jillian (only this picture was from almost a year ago!):
And Here is Mimi and Baby Jules (this taken in May):
THANKS to both grandmothers for allowing Seth and I to have a date and to be able to get away for almost a WHOLE day! You are the best and we love you!

Making Cookies for Daddy

Jillian and I made some cookies for Daddy this week. Jillian is SO my daughter...I think she likes the dough better than the cookie! Here she is sampling our work...

"Hmmm...which one do I want?"

"Maybe I will just take a chocolate chip from this one..."

Diving right in!!! Love her face in this one!

Happy Birthday Aunt Carol

Today is my very best friend's 29th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT CAROL!!!!! Carolyn and I have been best friends since early high school. We were actually just trying to figure out exactly when the magic happened between us, and couldn't remember! It really seems like she has been there forever. Carolyn is really like a sister to me...she is the truest girlfriend that I have ever have! Our friendship has survived college...with her partying in Miami...and me living it up (not) at Harding! And now, here we are back in Dallas together! I am so blessed to have Carolyn in my life and as my best friend. She is probably the ONLY girlfriend that I will be able to say that I have had for a lifetime!

So, here is to you Carolyn! I hope you have a fabulous day today and keep on celebrating!

Love you...B

Jules is 3 Months Old

Baby Jules turned 3 months old last week and I am just now getting her post up. We have had a REALLY busy Summer...and not in a good way...and so hopefully things are slowing down now! Oh yeah, back to Baby Jules...

Jules at 3 months old...it is finally time to break out the big bowbands! Oh HAPPY day!

Jillian at 3 months old (for comparison)

At 3 months old, Jules is ALMOST sleeping through the night. She has had a couple of nights where she goes from 10 p.m. to around 7 a.m. She also has some nights where she wakes up to be fed around 4 a.m. MOSTLY though, she goes to bed at 10 p.m. or so and sleeps until around 4 a.m., where I offer her the passy...and this keeps her content until morning! So, we think she is doing a really good job. She is still sleeping in a bassinet in my room...I totally mean to move her, but I just don't want to yet!!! We moved Jillian to her room at 8 weeks and planned to do the same with Jules. Then she got sick, and I was watching her breathe at night...and now she is fine and I just don't want to move her! She may be my last baby and I want it to just go really slowly!!!! I think Seth and I agreed to give it a couple more weeks and then let her be on her own...boo hoo!

Baby Jules also rolled over on her own from front to back the week before she turned 3 months. I am NOT happy about this at all, because as far as I am concerned, I just want her to lay there and do nothing for at least 6 or so years. I mean, I DO NOT want my baby growing up so fast!!! She definitely hasn't asked me if she can roll over!!! I have since quit putting her on her tummy and now just leave her on her back! KIDDING people!

Jules is really THE smiliest baby I have ever seen. Sometimes she will be back in my room sleeping and I go to check on her, and she is awake and just smiling up at nothing! She is just so happy and we are blessed to have her sweet personality added to the mix in our house.

Here are some of the fun pictures of Jules over the last month...she really is growing so fast!

Here is Jules just hanging out with a couple of her closest friends

Here is Jules this past Sunday at lunch after church! She just passed right out after a little fussing. This is what happens to your child at lunch after church when your church decides to ONLY have a late service that starts at 10:30! Mom, Dad...Can I get an AMEN???

Here is Jules with her first toy that she has shown a MAJOR liking to. She loves to bat at these hanging toys and can even grab them already. She is usually having to share this spot with big sister...but LOVES her time alone here!

Here is Baby Jules just chillin'...waiting for our Friday night dinner out. She must think she is too cool for school in this picture!

Here she is passed out again! It is tiring to be this cute!!!
