Happy Birthday To Me...NOT!

Little Miss Jillian decided that 364 days a year devoted to her were just not enough, and so she decided that she would be sick on my birthday too! :) Ha Ha! Her little fever that she had on Monday turned into the virus from cousin Emerson. I took her into the doctor and she showed me all of the little white bumps all over Jillian's throat. Poor Baby! This explained why she wouldn't eat, sleep, suck from a straw...etc., etc. So, I have had her on Motrin and Tylenol for the past two days and she seems to be doing much better...even slept through the night last night...which is SO important to me! I am spoiled by a good sleeper! Here are a couple pictures from my birthday on Wednesday. My mom made some lunch and Jillian and I went over to eat with her. Of course, I am not in the pictures (sorry Mindy and Carolyn)! I just forgot and only took a couple of my sick baby.

Jillian did manage to eat a couple of mini cupcakes! Funny how those didn't seem to bother her throat any! You can see she doesn't feel so great in her little eyes.

Sick Day

Jillian went in for her 15 month check up at the doctor's office yesterday. She weighed 21 pounds (25%), was 30 inches tall (35%)...and her lovely head was nearing the 75% percentile. She also got two shots in her little legs! Last night, she started running a fever...which could either be from the shots or from a virus that cousin Emerson caught last week. Either way, she can't seem to shake the fever today. So, we spent the day laying around, watching The Wiggles, and trying to eat some ice cream. Anyone who knows Jillian KNOWS that she does not cuddle, sit in laps, or sit still...but today for the first time, she has done all three! I am loving that she is sitting with me on the couch and letting me love on her while she is sick. Here are a couple of pictures of Jilly looking a little sad and pathetic.

We have a climber!

Jillian has always been really mobile and really active from about 6 months on. Well, these days she is getting more and more fearless. She climbs on everything and seems to not be scared of ANYTHING! This may be...well, WILL BE trouble for us in the future. Here are a couple of "instances" where I have found Jillian climbing on rubbermaid boxes, the subwolfer, her toys...etc., etc. The last couple of pictures are when Jillian had run back into the guest room to do who knows what...and I heard her whining. I went in there, and she had climbed up on these tubs of her old baby clothes and didn't know how to get back down!

Aunt B's Daycare

So, I am keeping Jillian's cousin Emerson every Thursday while Summer teaches at Macy's school. Well, the girls have such a good time together...playing on the floor together and climbing all over eachother. It is really fun to watch them just mostly co-exist at this point. This is also giving me an opportunity to teach Jillian that she has to share her toys. J knows she is bigger than Emerson, so she kind of bullies her around a little by stealing back her toys! But we are working on it. Here are some cute pictures of the two in action.

Girls and Their Jewelry

So, you can't tell me that it is not a natural instinct for women to love jewelry and purses. I am now sure that we are just born with this desire. My proof being that of my 14 month old daughter. As soon as she gets up everyday, she IMMEDIATELY finds her jewelry and puts it on...and then grabs her purse and carries it around with her. And I have the pictures to prove it.

Pigtails and Curly Hair

Here are just a couple of cute pictures of Jillian from the past week or so. She somehow has curly hair in the back...we don't know where she gets this since Seth and I both have really straight blonde hair...but I had to take a couple of pictures to remember it by.

I also attempted our first set of pig tails. They turned out really cute...just a little too short in the back...but it won't be long now!

Precious Feet

Little Miss J is a VERY rowdy sleeper...she is all over her bed all night long. Well, when I went in to check on her this morning, I found this precious foot hanging out through the bed rails. I thought it was too cute!
